The food thread.

Ok. A small break.

Every time I’m in West Memphis, I take a cab down to Beale St… Just got back from the ONE PLACE that makes you forget all your worries. Fried Hamburgers in 100 year old grease. All I could think about was how great this would be in a vape. 🙂

Dyer’s Burgers :: World Famous Burgers and Food on World Famous Beale Street in Memphis, TN :: Official Website

If you’re ever in Memphis, do whatever you have to do to get one of their burgers. OMG

I need more places to eat at and figured that with all the geographic locations of you people, you could point me to some real gourmet type of stuff.

New to mods – thoughts on potential setup?

I’ve decided to finally take the jump into the world of mechanical mods! I’ve been doing a lot of reading to try and determine a cost effective and safe setup to get going. With that said, I wanted to see the general consensus on the setup below in terms of safety and functionality. Please let me know if I’m getting something wrong, or something will not be compatible! Any and all feedback is appreciated.

I wanted to get a mod that will fit different battery sizes, and I’m thinking of getting 1 18650 battery and 1 18350 as those are the sizes I’d use to the most. I also wanted to have a dripper and a tank to switch between. The main thing I’m stuck on is a charger – I’d like some cost effective but also safe, so suggestions would be helpful. Lastly, I was going to pick up a mod Fuse just to be safe while I get the ropes of building on these – is that something I should have? Thanks in advance and looking forward to seeing everyone’s opinions!

Kicked the analogs, thank you!

I was never a heavy smoker. Max a pack a week, but I couldn’t kick it. Years went by.

My daughter was born and I increasingly felt bad about my habit but just couldn’t do it :/

thanks to posters here, I learnt enough to make a decent rig (nautilus+magneto v2) which was powerful enough to make the ‘hit’ enough.

Im now now four weeks clean, and even tho I still have cravings, I much prefer to hit the vape.

Thank you so much to everyone sharing advice and stories here.

Much love from Australia.

peanut butter

has anyone tried peanut butter flavor from TFA and LA. Some people say the TFA is the best and others say it taste like dirt. I want to order some, but I’m really not interested in dirt flavor…Just would like some feedback from people who have tried either or both.
Thanks

VCT5’ers : A how long until…….. question

For over a year now- I have using <a href="http://www.vapininthecape.com/DIY-eliquid_c_42.html”>diy mods using the TI4050 chip: running at 5v, and with 1.8 to 2.0 ohm RBAs. The mods use either 14500 or 18350 AW batts.
Why regulated? I cannot stand the drop off from the initial ~4.2 off the charger to 3.7v.. and then steadily weaker vapes.
Why smaller batteries: I like the small form factor of the mods. Granted, the 14500 or 18350 (700 mah) batts only last 3-4 hours typically- at least the mod puts out a steady 5v for those 3-4 hours.

The vct5s- I’d like to hear over what period of time these bigger mah batteries stay at the 4.0-4.2 volts. Do they drop to 3.7 as quickly as the 700 mah batts? (I know there are charts…. I like to hear from actual people using them.)
I’m thinking about a mech mod as I could always build the RBA to lower ohms to get the same ‘hit’ as off the 5v regulated. But if the drop off is noticeable over the initial 3-4 hours- I may not be a happy vaper.

I have no one to celebrate with, but I did it!!

My social circle does not include fellow vapors, but I had to tell someone I successfully rebuilt an EVOD coil with organic cotton for the first time! Loving the taste, CLS from Nicoticket on a MVP. I failed quite a few rebuilding attempts & gave up. So frustrated with aspire coils so I tried again. Vaping 2 1/2 months, a newbie, but I fear I am on a slippery slope. Next, mech mod & building my own coils. Thinking about a REO. Is that a good place to start?

Needing help on DIY starting out

Im trying this <a href="http://www.vapininthecape.com/DIY-eliquid_c_42.html”>diy thing again.
I bought more flavors and 48mg nic
I want to make 24mg of strawberry to start with something simple. Also I would like to add some sweetener. What percentage should I use on the flavors and sweetener.
And what’s a good length of time for it to steep?
Thanks

Joining the world of mech mods — just bought a hammer clone

I used to think mech mods were stupid until I tried one with a ~0.2 ohm coil. Wow. I guess I was the stupid one. I never realized how great sub ohm vaping could be based off my experience "older" older low ohm heads before sub ohm vaping took the vaping world by storm. So I’ve just ordered a hammer clone, but after a little more research I am wondering if that was a mistake since many say it’s not good with ultra low ohm builds. Is the only reason people say this because of the spring in the top cap? If so, are there any other replacement options besides the Chi You top cap?

Also, would the brass Chi You top cap look ok on a SS hammer mod or should I go with the SS top cap?

HCigar Hammer Mod + Aga-t7 Atty

I started vaping about 2 weeks ago and I have to say I’m hooked. I bought a mod right away. I have the Ehpro Caravela in black with the Kayfun Lite Plus in black as well and they’re great as I’m sure most of you already know. I must have literally watched 20+ YouTube vids and I know how to rebuild atomizers already. It’s really a great hobby. Anyway, As I keep digging deeper into the world of vaping and moding, I’m already planning my next setup. I just wanted to get some feedback on the HCigar Hammer mod. I love the way it looks and I like how it has that sort of "pipe" look to it. I was thinking of getting that along with the brand new Aga-t7 atty to go with it. Any thoughts on either? Has anyone built this combo? How is the HCigar Hammer mod by itself? I can’t wait to try the aga-t7 either way. They’re calling it the kayfun killer. Let me know what you think and any pros and cons. Cheers.
